Introduction

Folia breaks a lot of mechanics and systems. Canvas aims to try and fix as many as possible. This section contains information regarding what Canvas fixes, and how. These strictly document behavioral fixes and restorations of Vanilla systems, not crash and bug fixes in Folia itself.

We fix a large number of things, from commands, to technical Vanilla mechanics, to the slightest smallest details that are probably insignificant that nobody actually notices.

If you find something in Folia that breaks Vanilla compatibility, let us know in our Discord server, and we can try to reimplement that mechanic.

PR Party

Canvas is in the process of and is planning to do a PR party to Folia. A PR party is essentially someone opens a bunch of PRs and submits them to a repository. One of the goals of Canvas is to at least have our fixes to certain Vanilla mechanics submitted to upstream Folia, and eventually, further features and optimizations will be submitted upstream too.

The PR party is already in progress with the first 5 PRs already open, and more coming soon. The Canvas Team decided to not open more than 5 PRs at a time, as to not overwhelm SpottedLeaf with like 30 PRs all at once. Currently, we have these 5 PRs open:
